Synomanager for Linux/OSX ?

Apr 11, 2009 at 12:30 PM

I'm looking for support of Synology tools for Linux and MAC. I found Synomanager as a possible solution with C# portability (mono execution support).

Are there some people experiencing Synomanager with Mono ?

Somebody has requested this too some time ago (

I think I need to create a virtual pc/vmware image to test these settings in, and I have absolutely no experience in developing for Mono, so I have no idea what I have to expect, and how much time it would take to make the current software Mono-compatible...

You should try to . Mono Migration Analyzer works under windows (only ?), there is no need for virtual machine to develop for Mono !

I have no experience of C#, but I successfully build Synomanager under Ubuntu with 'monodevelop'. Unfortunately, the limitation of the execution of Synomanager remains in the Mono's C# virtual machine (support for execution of some type of code is not available in Mono). I don't have any experience of Mono issues too (this is the first time I execute some C# application too).

Jul 22, 2009 at 6:35 PM is a guide with examples on how to port an Application to mono.

I tried to compile it with monodevelop, and after deleting NAudio it compiled with some errors.

But it still doesn't run. The only thing you see is the login window the first time you log in, and thats it.

I've released a new Version of Synoload, the Synology NAS Firefox Plugin.

Version 1.4 doesn't use Synomanager any longer to add Downloads to the Diskstation, it uses the cgi files directly.

This works well using Linux and any other Platform Firefox supports.
